About us....
Pacific Coast Canvas started about ten years ago with co-owner Alex making Gallery Wrapped canvas frames for his wife Micqaela Jones, an accomplished Native American Painter. She was dissatisfied with the products she was buying from the local art stores so she asked her husband Alex, a 15 year veteran of the furniture industry, if he could design a stretcher frame that was strong and flat, wouldn't warp or sag and looked more like a piece of furniture than a cheap frame.
There began the journey for Alex to design stretchers and other art products that were truly hand crafted and the finest quality money could buy. In 2010, Alex approached his brother Gene, also an accomplished furniture maker, and asked if he would be interested in forming a company to produce specialty art products. Gene agreed and the two of them began making fine art canvases and other art supplies.
Each of their product lines including wood panels, encaustic panels, linen on panel, gallery wrapped canvas and linen as well as various custom picture frame profiles and floater frames are hand built in Santa Cruz, California by brothers Gene and Alex. With furniture making as their background, you can be sure that all their products are perfectly fabricated to meet your exact specifications. Don't trust your art to anyone else!
